I know the formula is 1/2 base times height for the area of the triangle. How much longer is the base than the height?? Answer by checkley77(12844) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Base=2x+2m=2(x+m)
Area=2x^2-x-3m
a=bh/2
bh=2a
h=2a/b
h=2(2x^2-x-3m)=2(x+m) cancel out the 2's.
h=(2x^2-x-3m)/(x+m)
