You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ASSUMING THIS IS A RECTANGLE WITH PARALLEL AND EQUAL OPOSITE SIDES THEN
7Y=2X+6 & 5Y=2X+2
Y=(2X+6)/7 SUBSTITUTING Y IN THE SECOND EQUATION WE GET
5(2X+6)/7)=2X+2
(10X+30)/7=2X+2
(10X+30)=7(2X+2)
10X+30=14X+14
-4X=-16
4X=16
X=4
7Y=2(4)+6 OR 7Y=8+6 OR 7Y=14 OR Y=2
5Y=2(4)+2 OR 5Y=8+2 OR 5Y=10 OR Y=2
SIDES ARE 2X+6 2(4)+6 8+6=14
2X+2 2(4)+2 8+2=10
5(2)=10 & 7(2)=14
