Question 302967: Can somebody please show me how to work this? Steps and explanations, and possibly an additional example of the same type of problem would be great, if it's not too much trouble. find slope and y-intercept of line

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
To find slope and y-intercept you need to change from standard form to slope-intercept form. To do that isolate (y).
5x+7y=36

5x-5x+7y=36-5x
7y=-5x+36
7y/7=(5x+36)/7
y=(5/7)x+(36/7)
y=mx+b is slope-intercept form
m=slope=5/7
b=y-intercept=36/7
