You can put this solution on YOUR website! Here's another accuplacer practice question that I have no clue about: "write the slope intercept form of the equation (-2,0)and (7,4). The answer that lights up correct is Y=4/9x + 8/9. Can someone tell me why this is correct, and in general , how to write slope intercept forms? Thanks lots. .
 Given:
 (-2,0)and (7,4)
 .
 First, determine the slope:
 m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
 m = (4-0)/(7-(-2))
 m = (4)/(7+2)
 m = 4/9
 .
 Now, plug the slope (4/9) and one of the two points (-2,0) into the "point-slope" form:
 y - y1 = m(x - x1)
 y - 0 = (4/9)(x - (-2))
 y = (4/9)(x + 2)
 y = (4/9)x + (4/9)2
 y = (4/9)x + 8/9
