Not sure what you meant to write for the second one...it is ambiguous. You need to use brackets to collect terms together to remove the ambiguity. I shall assume you meant:

+f%28-2%29+=+%281%2F%28-4%29%29+%2B+2+
+f%28-2%29+=+%28-1%2F4%29+%2B+2+
+f%28-2%29+=+%28-1%2F4%29+%2B+8%2F4+
+f%28-2%29+=+7%2F4+

If you meant to write +f%28x%29+=+1%2F%282x%2B2%29+ then learn to use brackets more in your maths language and now you can do this one :-)... the answer is -1/2.
