Hint: Factor a 'y' from the left side to get y%28y%5E2-y-6%29=0 and then factor y%5E2-y-6 to get %28y-3%29%28y%2B2%29. So after all the factoring, you should have y%28y-3%29%28y%2B2%29=0. Next just apply the zero product property to solve.
