Here is the question:
Brandon is planning a suprise party for Ashley. He has $25 to spend for drinks and a cake. He knows that the cake will cost $18 and drinks will cost $0.50 per person. What is the greatest number of people he can invite to the party? Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! he has $ 25
cake costs 18
so he has 25-18 = $ 7 for the drinks
each drink costs $0.50
he can spend $ 7 for drinks
7/ 0.5 = number of drinks
7*10 / 0.5 *10 = 70 / 5
=14
So he can call 14 guests
