I'll have the variable side negative, so
Subtract 7K from each side:
+3K+-+7K+-5=7K+-+7K+%2B7+

Now we have:
-4K - 5 = 7

Add 5 to each side, giving us:
-4K = 12

Now, divide each side by -4:

So the answer is K = -3
