Question 300748: The weight of a truck without load is 2000 kg. Today the load represents initially 80% of the total weight. At the first stop, they discharge a quarter of the load. What percentage of the total weight does then the load represent?
A) 20% B) 25% C) 55% D) 60% E) 75% Answer by JBarnum(2146) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
80% of 2000kg = 1600kg
25% of the 1600kg was taken out thats 400
so 1600-400=1200kg
to find the total percentage of load from the total weight simply divide 1200 by 2000 = 75%
thats the answer 75%
