You can put this solution on YOUR website!
When x number of units are sold,the price of each unit(in dollars)is given by p=-x/2+75.Find the unit price when the following quantities are sold:2,7,9,11.
p=-x/2+75 ----(1)
Putting x= 2 in (1)
p= -2/2 +75 = -1+75 =74
Putting x= 7 in (1)
p= -7/2 +75 = [-7+(2X75)]/2 = [-7+150]/2 =143/2 = 71.5
Putting x= 9 in (1)
p= -9/2 +75 = [-9+(2X75)]/2 = [-9+150]/2 =141/2 = 70.5
Putting x= 11 in (1)
p= -11/2 +75 = [-11+(2X75)]/2 = [-11+150]/2 =139/2 = 69.5
Answer: When x number of units are sold,the price of each unit =-x/2+75 dollars
When 2 number of units are sold,the price of each unit =-2/2+75 =74 dollars
When 7 number of units are sold,the price of each unit =-7/2+75 = 71.5 dollars
When 9 number of units are sold,the price of each unit =-9/2+75 = 70.5 dollars
When 11 number ofunits are sold,the price of each unit =-11/2+75=69.5 dollars
Note: You need to write the answer part above directly. That is all
(as they can be worked out orally)
