Question 300413: solve by graphing 3x+y=5,-2x+3y=4 How would you graph this???? I really need help! THANKYOU!!
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The quickest way to graph a line is to find the intercepts.
To find the x-intercept, set y=0 and solve for x.

(5/3,0)
To find the y-intercept, set x=0 and solve for y.

(0,5)
Plot those points and graph the first line.

Do the same for the next line.
To find the x-intercept, set y=0 and solve for x.

(-2,0)
To find the y-intercept, set x=0 and solve for y.

(0,4/3)

From looking at the graph, it's apparent that the intersection point is (1,2).
Verify by plugging into the original equations.

True

True
Solves both equations, its a good solution.
