Question 299793: I have several questions I don't understand and need answered.
1. Identify the roots of -3x^3 - 21x^2 + 72x + 540 = 0. State the multiplicity of each root.
2. Write the simplest polynomial function with zeros -2, 7, and -1/2
3. User Pascal's Triangle to expand the expression (4x+3)^4
4. Write a functino that transforms f(x)=2x^3+4 in the following way: Stretch vertically by a factor of 6 and shift 5 units left.
5. Let f(x)=5x^3 + 7x^2 + 4x - 5. Write a function g that reflects f(x) across the y-axis.
An explanation of how to do each would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Identify the roots of -3x^3 - 21x^2 + 72x + 540 = 0. State the multiplicity of each root.
-----------------
Divide by -3
x%5E3+%2B+7x%5E2+-+24x+-+180+=+0
Check for integer roots. 180 has factors of 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10,12 & 15
Sub each one for x, both + and minus, and check for a zero. I would use Excel to try them.
Once you find a root, then it becomes a quadratic.

Post the other problems one at a time. Tutors are more likely to do one problem than a list of them.
