Problem: 5x-3x%2Bx%2B8=2x%2B1%2Bx%2Bx

First, add all variables on each side of eqn: 3x%2B8=4x%2B1

Then, solve for x:

3x%2B8=4x%2B1

8-1=4x-3x

7=x ...same as... x=7
