Question 297429: I am struggle with this math problem:
Consider the data sets and decide whether the situation represents a linear relationship. Explain your answer. If the relationship is linear, write an equation that models the data.
x-time (seconds) 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80
y-distance 10 30 70 130 210 310 430 570
traveled(feet)
I need to determine m & b, as well as find slope.
can you help please? I am confused because the slope is not the same between all data points

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I think you anwered your own question.
You already see that the 'slope' changes between each set of points.
So, the data does not represent a linear relationship.
So, m and b do not apply
