I think you've left out part of your first log argument.
To make into a single logarithm, follow the log rule,
log%28%28A%29%29%2Blog%28%28B%29%29=log%28%28AB%29%29
So in your case,
log%28%28t%2BZ%29%29%2Blog%28%286%29%29=log%28%286%28t%2BZ%29%29%29
where Z is the missing part of your argument.
