-7 multiplied by 2 gives me a negitive 14 and when added gives me -5 so i did (x-7) (x+2) now i dont know what to do to finish simplifying the problem. my teacher says we are doing "multiplication and division of rationals" Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! how do i simplify x^2 over x+2 multiplies by x^2-5x-14 over x^2+2x so far i did this
-7 multiplied by 2 gives me a negative 14 and when added gives me -5 so i did (x-7) (x+2)
: *
After you factor x^2-5x-14 you can also factor x^2+2 *
(x+2) cancels and x cancels into x^2, resulting in: * =
