Question 29230: Please help me solve this word problem, it has got to be easy but my brain is fried...The Jaspers have a jar where they collect nickels, dimes, and quarters. When they count the change in the jar, there are twice as many nickels as there are quarters. If there is $15.30 in dimes and $74.80 in all, how many quarters are there? Here is what we have tried...74.80-15.30=2n;59.50=2n;n=29.75..but that just doesn't work out right. please help I need it for school Monday. Thank you Answer by Paul(988) (Show Source):
