Assuming you mean "log base 3":
log%283%2Cx%29+%2B+log%283%2C%28x-8%29%29+=+2+
log%283%2Cx%28x-8%29%29+=+2+
x%28x-8%29+=+3%5E2+
x%5E2-8x+=+9+
x%5E2-8x-9+=+0+
%28x-9%29%28x%2B1%29+=+0+
x = {-1, 9}
But, if you try to apply the solutions you'll find that -1 is an "extraneous" solution so you must toss it out leaving:
x = 9
