I think we're missing something here.

if 15 candy bars didn't sell at 50 cents each, I find it unlikely that they would sell at > $2.12 each!

At any rate, divide the total amount by the number of candy bars & bob's your uncle!

15 is the number of the problem.
31.93/31=103
3193 has only only two factors
31 and 103
The price of the candy bar must be less than 50 so then it must be 31 and there were were 103 bars
