You can put this solution on YOUR website!
okay now I am going to rewrite your question so it is easier to understand. when you have a plus a negative it is minus a positive. so you get
1/2-3/4-1/4 okay now you gotta get a common denomonator.
since 4 is a factor of two lets make 1/2 ?/4. so you know that 4 is 2*2 s you multiply the top and bottom by 2 because 2/2 is one and that means you are still getting the same answer and not changing anything really important. so now you have
2/4-3/4-1/4= now it is easy to solve all you do is subtract across the top. 2-3=-1 then you take -1-1=-2 so you get -2/4 well remember how you got 2/4 for 1/2 well it is the same thing here now you can get -1/2 the same way because this time you just divided the top and the bottom by 2. which is again dividing by 1 is the same as multiplying by one you still get what ever you multiplied it by
hope this helps
