You can put this solution on YOUR website! Notice: I have edited your second equation as I think you
posted a typo.
If your problem is as I edited it you proceed as follows:
Subtract the 1st eqation from the second to get:
0=-(3/2)x+3
Add (3/2)x to boh sides to get:
(3/2)x=3
Multiply both sides by (2/3) to get:
x=2
Substitute that into the 2nd equation to solve for "y".
y=-2+3
y=1
Your solution is x=2, y=1.
