Question 289246: Homework question:
For the expression nx7 you would use the inverse operation of division. What's the inverse operation? What would you do to get n alone?
What do they mean by "get n alone"? I know if I had nx7 = 21 the inverse would be 21 divided by 7 or 21 divided by n.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Inverse operation of division is multiplication.
Not sure what the first question is really asking.
But using your example
nx7+=+21
to get 'n' alone means to get n on one side of the equal sign and everything else on the other side
nx7+=+21
nx+=+21%2F7
nx+=+3
n+=+3%2Fx
