You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Notice how 2100%2F30=70. Stated another way, 70%2A30=2100

Since 30 milliliters = 1 ounce, we can multiply both sides by 70 to get: 2100 milliliters = 70 ounces

So now we're dealing with 70 ounces. The problem now is that 8 does not go into 70, but we can note that 70%2F8=8.75 or 8%2A8.75=70. So multiply both sides of 8 ounces = 1 cup by 8.75 to get: 70 ounces = 8.75 cups

Since 70 ounces = 8.75 cups and 2100 milliliters = 70 ounces, we now know that 2100 milliliters = 8.75 cups

So over the course of 7 hours, the patient will drink 8.75 cups of fluid. Simply divide this result by 7 to find the amount of fluid the patient will drink in one hour. So 8.75%2F7=1.25

Since 1%2F4=0.25, this means that 1.25=1%261%2F4. So the patient will drink 1%261%2F4 cups of fluid over the course of one hour.
