You can put this solution on YOUR website!
15 seconds=.25 minutes
That would be 120 miles in one minute.
6*120=720 miles an hour
24000/720= hours to travel the world at the equator.
divide by 24
1000/30=100/3=33 hours 20 minutes

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Set up a proportion:
let t = number of seconds it takes to travel 24000 miles
t%2F24000+=+15%2F30
t=12000++seconds
Convert to minutes:
12000s+%2A+%281+min%29%2F%2860s%29+=+1200+minutes
Convert to hours:
1200+min+%2A+%281+hour%29%2F%2860+min%29+=+20+hours
