(2) 3a-2b=8
Multiply both sides of (1) by 3
Multiply both sides of (2) by 2
Then subtract (2) from (1)
(1) 6a+%2B+9b+=+42
(2) -6a+%2B+4b+=+-16
13b+=+26
b+=+2
Substitute this back into (1) or (2)
(1) 2a+%2B+3%2A2+=+14
2a+=+14+-+6
2a+=+8
a+=+4
The solutions are a+=+4,b+=+2

Multiply first by 2 and second by 3.
4a+6b=28
9a-6b=24
add them
13a=52
a=4
sub into any equation
4*2+3b=14
3b=6
b=2
