Question 286056: The lift of an airplane wing is 750 lbs. the drag is 300 lbs what is the magnitude and direction of the resulting force.
Represent the problem geometrically and find the resultant force algebraically
Thank You I Really appreciate it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
you can use Pythagoras to find the magnitude of the resultant

R^2 = 750^2 + 300^2

the direction of the resultant is between the vertical and the tail of the plane (opposite the direction of motion)

the sine of the direction angle is 750/R
