You can put this solution on YOUR website! f(g(x)) means to plug to the value of g(x) for x in the function f(x).
What is g(x)? g(x) = x - 4, right?
What is f(x)? f(x) = 2^2 - x, right?
Then f(x - 4) = 2^2 - (x - 4) = f(g(x)).
f(x - 4) = 4 - x + 4
f(x - 4) = -x + 8
This means that f(g(x)) = -x + 8
Got it?
Here is one for you:
Find f(g(x)) using the same value for f(x) when g(x) = apple.
How do you think we do this one?
