Question 283980: Can you help me please? I have a word problem that I need help on. If gas in 1981 is 135.3 cents per gallon and in 1998 it is 111.5 cents per gallon, what is the percent of decrease? What I came up with is : 135.3 - 111.5= 23.8. I need help in finding the percent of decrease. Please advise. Thank you.
