If we are talking about a rectangle then 2(L+W)=P

The perimeter formula for a rectangle is P=2W%2B2L where 'P' is the perimeter of the rectangle, 'W' is the width of the rectangle, and 'L' is the length of a rectangle.

Remember that the perimeter is simply the sum of the side lengths (ie add up the side lengths to get the perimeter). So the perimeter = side1+side2+side3+side4 = W + W + L + L = 2W + 2L
