3x+4 over 2x + x-6....?the answer is 11 over 6....my first big question is why is the denominator 6 and not 12?...and can u explain to me how to do this problem,please?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! i dont know how you got 11 over six because i got 2 over -3.
3x+4 over 2x+x-6
2x+x equals 3x so the bottom becomes 3x-6
3x+4 over 3x-6
the 3x's cancel out so u have 4 over -6 which reduces to 2 over -3
