You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let the amount invested at 7% = x
Then the amount invested at 8^ = x-100
Total interest is
x*(7/100)+(x-100)*(8/100)= 58
7x+8x-800 = 5800
15x = 6600
x = 6600/15
x = 440
Total amount invested = x+x-100
=2x-100
=2*440-100
=780
