Concept:
Substitute zero for x in the given function then solve for y.
That yield a value for y.
That is nothing but the y-intercept of that function.
For example,
Consider the equation y=3x+2.
To obtain the value of y-intercept substitute x=0 in the given equation.
That yields, y=2.
Therefore the y-intercept of the equation y=3x+2 is (0,2).
Like wise we can find the x-intercept also.
