Question 283124: I am having a problem with this problem. Can you please help me?
The perimeter of a triangle is 70cm. The longest side is 4cm less than the sum of the other two sides. Twice the shortest side is 9cm less than the longest side. Find the length of each side of the triangle.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

We have three unknowns (a,b,c ) so we need three equations.
a+b+c=70 perimeter is 70
c=a+b-4 longest side c is 4cm less than the sum of the other two sides a+b
c=2a-9 twice the shortest side a is 9 cm less than the longest side c
a+b+c=70
c=a+b-4
c=2a-9
I leave the details to you.

a = 12, b = 25, c = 33
Any problems let me know.
