You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5x%2Bx%28x-2%29=0 Start with the given equation.

5x%2Bx%5E2-2x=0 Distribute.

x%5E2%2B3x=0 Combine like terms.

x%28x%2B3%29=0 Factor out the GCF 'x'.

Now set each factor equal to zero:

x=0 or x%2B3=0

x=0 or x=-3 Now solve for x in each case

So the solutions are

x=0 or x=-3

Since the 'x' intercepts of y=5x%2Bx%28x-2%29 are simply the solutions of 5x%2Bx%28x-2%29=0, this means that the x-intercepts are (0,0) and (-3,0)
