Did you check your answer by multiplying it out?
3x^2*(x^2-3) gives you what? 3x^4-9x^2
if you factor 3x^2 from 9x^4 you get 3x^2 not x^2
if you factor 3x^2from the second term you get 1 not 3

----------
3x^2(x2 - 3) = 3x^4 - 9x^2, not the same
