You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Check this cool thing out.
x%2By=6
y=x
We said y = x right?
x%2By=6 Then this equals
highlight%28y%29%2By=6
2y+=+6 combine like terms
y+=+3 solve for y.
since y+=+x
x+=+3
There you go ;)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Simply plug in y=x into x%2By=6 to get x%2Bx=6 (notice how I replaced 'y' with 'x'). Now solve x%2Bx=6 for 'x'. Once you have a solution in terms of 'x', use it to find the solution in terms of 'y'.

Note: in this case, the two solutions of 'x' and 'y' will be the same (since y=x)
