Question 282004: what type of conic does this represent (x-3)^2/9 + (y-2)^2/4=1. i think its a hyperbola but im not sure Found 2 solutions by Alan3354, solver91311:Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! It's an ellipse. The sum of x^2 and y^2 terms --> ellipse.
If it's the difference, it's a hyperbola.
(x-3)^2/9 + (y-2)^2/4=1 ellipse
(x-3)^2/9 - (y-2)^2/4=1 hyperbola
