You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1st man eats 1/3 of apples, so 2/3 left
2nd man eats 1/3 of residue (1/3 of 2/3 ) so 2/3 x 2/3 left
3rd man eats 1/3 of residue so 2/3 x2/3x2/3 left
2/3 x 2/3 x2/3 = 8/27.
If 8 left, there were 27 to start with
