Question 28103: What is the center, foci, and the lengths of the major and minor axes for the ellipse, %28x%2B3%29%5E2%2F36+%2B+%28y-4%29%5E2%2F9+=+1

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THe ellispe is horizontal

The centrre is at (-3,4)
MAjor axis = sqrt%2836%29=6
6*2 = 12 (major axis)

Minor axis = sqrt%289%29=3
3*2=6 (minor axis)

Foci = a%5E2%2Bb%5E2=c%5E2
36%2B9=c%5E2
c=6.7 (rounded)

Foci = (0,4+6.7) and (0,-4+6.7)
