You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Find the vertex:
f(x)=-2x^2+2x+5
x = -b/2a = -2/(-4) = 1/2
f(x) = -2(1/2)^2 + 2(1/2) + 5
f(x) = -1/2 + 1 + 5
f(x) = 11/2
Vertex: (1/2,11/2)
--------------------------
What is the x coordinate? :::1/2
What is the y coordinate? :::11/2
------
What is the axis of symmetry?
Ans: x = 1/2 is the vertical line passing thru the vertex.
