You can put this solution on YOUR website! At an ice cream parlor you order a double scoop of ice cream. The server first stuffs the cone, which is 14.3 cm. high and 8.4 cm across, full of ice cream. She then tops the cone with a nicely rounded half-scoop. On top of this she puts the second scoop. To the nearest cubic centimeter, how much ice cream did you receive? the volume of the cone is given by the formula 1/3* pi*r^2*h
 v= 1/3 *3.14*4.2^2*14.3
 264cu. cm.
 volume of a sphere is given by 4/3 * pi*r^3
 = 4/3*3.14*(4.2)^3 ( since two halves are put , it amounts to putting 1 complete ball / sphere)
 = 310 cu. cm
 Total icecream = 264cu.cms in cone + 310 cu. cms on top= 574 cu. cms
