You can put this solution on YOUR website!
14x%5E2+-+20x+%2B+6
First, can you factor out any constants? Yes, all terms are divisible by two, so write:
2%287x%5E2-10x%2B3%29
Now, think about factors of the first (7x^2) and last term (3):
7 factors to 7 & 1 or -7 & -1
3 factors to 3 & 1 or -3 & -1
Now are there any pairings that when multipied together add up to the middle term (10)? Yes, 7 * -1 (-7) and -3 * 1 (-3) add to -10 so write:
2%287x-1%29%28x-3%29
Just takes practice, and sometimes some luck if you have a lot of factors for a term.
