Now out beside those write their sum,
since -600 is negative. (If +4 had been negative
we would have found ther difference)
4*1 4+1=5
2*2 2+2=4
Notice that the absolute value of the coefficient of
the middle term, 17, does not appear in the column of
sums above. Therefore the trinomial does not factor.
