Question 275948: I need help. I'm supposed to solve and graph this equation y=absolute value of x-4 but when I graphed it I got a line instead of a V my answer was V(0,4) R(1,-3) and L(-1,-5). The next problem is y=absolute value of x-3 I got V(0,-3) R(1,-2) and L(-1,-4)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! I need help. I'm supposed to solve and graph this equation
y=absolute value of (x-4) but when I graphed it I got a line instead of a V my answer was V(0,4) R(1,-3) and L(-1,-5).
---
y = |x-4|
The vertex is at (4,0)
You have to choose x-values on each side of x=4
if you want to see the V shape.
-----------------------------------------

The next problem is y=absolute value of x-3 I got V(0,-3) R(1,-2) and L(-1,-4)
Similarly you need to select x-values of each side of x = 3.
