What is the formula for finding the perimeter of a circle? And the perimeter of a semi-circle?
The formula for the perimeter or the circumference of a circle is (Pi times d) or (Pi times (2r)) = 2(Pi)r = 2 X (22/7) X r where r is the radius of the circle. And d is the diameter of the circle equal to twice the radius r
that is d=2r
Thus the formula for the perimeter of a circle is (22d/7) or (44r/7) where d is diameter and r the radius of the circle.
And the perimeter of a semi circle is [(Pi)times radius] = half of the perimeter of the circle
So formula for the perimeter of a semi circle is(11d/7) or (22r/7)
