You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In Chemistry class, 6 liters of a 4% silver iodide solution must be mixed with a 10% solution to get a 6% solution. How many liters of the 10% solution are needed?
I keep coming up with 6 liters but i am not sure that this is correct
;
Lets see if it is:
Let x = amt of 10% solution required
:
.04(6) + .10x = .06(x+6)
.24 + .10x = .06x + .36
.10x - .06x = .36 - .24
.04x = .12
x = .12%2F.04
x = 3 liters of 10% solution required, not sure what you did to get 6
