x=3y-4
x+y+5=25 or x=25-5-y or x=20-y
Replace x with (20-y) in the first equation & solve for y
20-y=3y-4
-y-3y=-4-20
-4y=-24
y=-24/-4
y=6 ans.
x=20-6
x=14 ans.
Proof:
14=3*6-4
14=18-4
14=14
