You can put this solution on YOUR website!
i love these type of problems its just a puzzle
you must know what 3 consecutive intergers are to understand how to do this. for example: consecutive odd numbers are 1,3,5,7,9... so if x=1 to get 3 we would have to add 2 to x so (x,x+2,x+4) are our 3 consecutive odd numbers.
"sum of the smallest and four times the largest is 61"
smallest is x and largest is x+4
x%2B4%28x%2B4%29=61 multiply
x%2B4x%2B16=61 add
5x%2B16=61 subtract
5x=45 divide
x=9
now solve for your numbers
(x,x+2,x+4)
(9,9+2,9+4)
(9,11,13)
