You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The units digit of a two-digit number exceeds the tens digit by 2. Find the number if it is 4 times the sum of it digits.
---------
Let the number be 10t+u where t is the tens and u is the units digit.
------
Equations:
u = t+2
10t+u = 4(t+u)
--------------------
Simplify the 2nd equation:
6t = 3u
u = 2t
--------
Then t+2 = 2t
t = 2
----
Since u = t+2, u = 4
------------------------
The number is 24
