Question 272501: Angles in a Triangle:
The measure of the largest angle in a triangle is twiec the measure of the smallest angle. The third angle is 10 degrees less than the largest angle. Find the measure of each angle.
I do not know how to set up the equation and there are no examples in my book or notes.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The measure of the largest angle in a triangle is twicec the measure of the smallest angle. The third angle is 10 degrees less than the largest angle. Find the measure of each angle.
------------------------
largest: 2x
smallest: x
third: 2x-10
=================
Equation:
2x + x + 2x-10 = 180
5x = 190
x = 38 degrees
---
largest: 2x = 76 degrees
smallest: 38 degrees
third: 2x-10 = 66 degrees
=============================
